i think that is in explorer & shell -> explorer -> controlpanel -> contentpane but i'm not sure of that so you can play a little bit with all the colors from controlpanel content

(maybe like vista)

1) for the header (September 2009): Explorer & Shell > Shell > MonthCal > <1>
2) the background for the days: Explorer & Shell > Shell > MonthCal > <1>
3) for their texts: Explorer & Shell > Shell > MonthCal > <6> (normal/hover etc)
4) and for the clock and his background, you must probably see in your timedate.cpl file (system32 folder)

Did anyone figure how to change the clocks white background yet ?

Because I created a new size-matched image for each of the clock images in the timedate.cpl, filled the new images with the  color I wanted as the background then merged the original image layer with the newly created ones and replaced them but the end result is no change in the msstyle.

If anyone could clue me in on this would be much appreciated  ..... cheers.

The solution is posted above your post. It works.
Just fill the background of the clock images with your wished color and replace the files in timedate.cpl.
