as far as i know, that's not possible...

but you can make the searchbox smaller with a picture with wide transparent frames and setting the fitting margins

The only way that I could think to do this, is to create a personalized font with all blank characters.

1.Chane Values on: Toolbars, Headers and Rebar->Rebar->Navbar->Basic->Base->Band  .In my theme there are 3,0,2,10
2. Searchbox: Address, Breadrumb & Search->Search->SearchBox->Basic->Normal->Active-> 1,  delete first box on picture.  Dont worry it applies to all, aero, basic, max, min, active, inactive.

Adressbar: Address, Brekrumb & Search -> Address->AddressBand->Basic->AddressBand-> 1  . Delete first box in pic. It applies to aero too.

3.Change Sizingmargnis:margnis in. Address: Breadrumb & Search->Search->SearchBox->Basic->Normal->Active-> 10
4.I dont know...

Anyway if u have MSN tell me, ur seem to bee longhorn fan.
