How do I delete or hide the search box from the start menu, as highlighted in blue in the attached image.

I don't use SIB but try this:

Change the CONTENTMARGINS to -1000,-1000,-1000,-1000

and see what happens.

You might also want to change your BGTYPE to IMAGEFILE
