As in the header already said, vsb is crashing every time at every theme when i want to replace some specific images (like the taskbar image).

ive reinstalled vsb and finally reinstalled vista, but no changes. i have this bug since a week and have no idea how to solve it ...

any ideas?

Have you tried the small bug-fix (which I believe this may fall under) which is located here: Link
It sets the starting image to 1 for vsb purposes (if you've ever used Restorator, you'd understand) and has been a decent fix for a number of vsb users. It helped me personally.

A lot of reported bugs are also occuring because of bad shell extension, unfortunately.

If you can give me the exact steps to reproduce it, I can look into it.

i use 1.3 with bugfix ...

i simply open a style, go to Taskbar & Tray Notify > Taskbar > Aero > TaskBar > Backgroundxxx and want to replace it.
after choosing another image (or with the edit mode) vsb crashes.

it works fine with a new style so what do you mean with bad shell extension? ive always worked with this (shell)styles without changing something ...

ok fixed it: vsb is only able to handle 32bit pngs, my paint.net had the setting to choose the quality on its own

Nice you found that out! I'll add an extra check in the code, thanks a lot Smiley
