Hello all. As you may know development and research isn't really spoken much around here. If you want to know what goes on development and research wise then check out the blog! http://blog.vistastylebuilder.com/

We'll be updating it so you can find out what's going on behind the scenes or what we've found to aid in the customization process. Hope you enjoy reading it and we'd love feedback.

Nice start.  What I would absolutely LOVE to see would be to unlink/unshare the explorer menu's highlight text color and the toolbar buttons.
Right now it shares the Hot state textcolor between the two:

The above is fine, but I would like more contrast without it affecting the other parts.  See how having greater contrast in the explorer menu takes away the contrast from the toolbar buttons, because they share the same color.

I hope Windows 7 fixes this.  It's already terrible enough they didn't catch it in Vista whereas other windows in Vista had the proper white text over blue highlight.

Is this possible?  Or a definite no?

Oh, it's nice to have a blog but it would be nice to also have a section here for bugs and errors for users to report.

Have a sticky for common mistakes, errors, and fixes.  And the rest of the threads there will be for bugs so Ave can find them easily and maybe he and others can acknowledge them.

I have sent Ave a bug report but never received a reply.  He was very prompt at first, but maybe he missed my last e-mail.  That's why I've been posting the bugs in other areas.
Is he very busy with life at the moment?

Would be nice to know what he's up to  Smiley

Microsoft's bugs can't be fixed by Ave. The second one I noticed and I'll ask Ave about it. Third one I'd be willing to bet it's inherited.

Great, thanks!  Smiley

The reason why I wondered about #3 is because only a few parts allow properties for different states.

I can see this being a Windows issue, knowing other strange things Microsoft has done  Tongue

Hi, thanks for the welcome. I saw you blog last night, very interesting. I most certainly will post my thoughts. I do enjoy being a part of your community. I know of another community I think you'd be interested in. It's called the Banned Community or BC for short.
