Using WSB 1.5 all the time successfully. This you all know helped much:
http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/28810-Complete-Guide-to-Theme-Building
I added some points.

Now testing Beta 1563 (and others) I cannot find (i.e.) my top bitmaps for all windows.
Testing this on Win7 default Aero, same result - i.e. "... DWM Window > Frames > Normal" is missing in Beta 1.563.

WSB 1.5:

WSB 1.563B, missing 'Shadow', 'Reflections', ... and an added 'Controls':

WSB 1.5:

WSB 1.563B, Window, Shadowless Window..??:

WSB 1.5, here you know what you're working on:

WSB 1.563B, here not..

Hmm, what did I do wrong or what is wrong here ?

1) Everything is still there. Some of the locations and names have been changed in the Beta XMLs. I'm

not sure why nothing is showing for you. I've seen this before but can't remember what caused it.

2) When you are in ribbon mode click Options, uncheck Ribbon and then you will have the old Toolbar.

Maybe this will also bring back your images and properties too

Much thanks!

Trying around I think I found it.
Loading a Theme using the classic "anti-ribbon" way or with ribbon by "New > Recent files" the theme is loaded ok.

But loading per "Open > Import 7 Theme" is broken/buggy:

DWM Window > Frames > Window > Top
contains some tiny bitmap, those who should be there are now here:

DWM Window > Frames > Details > Glows > Small Close Button
and I am missing many more.

Testing "Open > Import 7 Theme" with the untouched default Aero theme - same bugs.

1) You should never use Import a 7 theme if you are in 7. You only use that if you are in another OS like 8.

2) I TOLD YOU that many locations have been moved and renamed in the Beta XMLs. Dave Senior's maps weren't updated.

3) Also there are no bitmap images in msstyles. They are all pngs.

Ok ok,
3) ..yesterday working in the shell32.dll ... too much..Wink

2) I understood that.

1) I would say this is not so intuitive. Ctrl-o didn't work - so looking for sth. like "Open" right? And in "Open" was only "Import 7 theme".

Would be good to put there a fat warning: Never use "Import 7 theme" if you are in 7 !!!
How do you open a very new Theme? Always switch off Ribbon first?

To open something new in ribbon mode just click Open and go to whatever msstyle you want to open

..aaahh, finally I got it, klick the Open button himself disregarding the attractive hover-popup leading to an insane import!
Hmm, how about an extra Import button with fat warnings? Smiley

The solution would be not to have the Import 7 theme option show in the menu if you are in 7 so people who don't know what importing means won't be confused
