This is a hard question for which I don't expect a positive answer and a bit off the scope of the forum, but I have searched the reaches of the interwebs for years because this problem torments me and it doesn't hurt to ask here as well.

As most of you know, in old versions of Windows, when the vertical taskbar filled, it split into columns. On Windows 7, the cursed scrollbar appears.

I actually use never combine buttons and I get to have 30/40 windows open; it's vital for me for them to be accessible at a glance without having to use the scrollbar. I know I can make the taskbar horizontal, but it's not as efficient on a widescreen monitor.

For the people who ve built this program and presumably know their way around the registry, is there a way to make a hack that would bring back those columns on the vertical taskbar?

Thanks
