Hello Please tell me what's the name of this combination of colors, for the explorer background. I saw a video on Youtube ( OS X theme for Linux ) and the background color looks fantastic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLEqO6MMGiQIs there a name in english for this mixed colors grey and white ? I don't know how to start, when i modify with Gimp. Do i need some extra tools for modifying the white default color of windows explorer ? Thank you

Ok, i will check it now. But one last question, 3am. I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64. On the instructions i should go to C / Windows / System32. Do i have to do the same with the Explorerframe.dll file from SysWOW64 ? Which Explorerframe.dll i have to modify it ? X86 / x64 or both ? Thank you

I don't understand here, 3am " 2-Open the Explorerframe.dll on your desktop with Restorator, navigate the tree to "UIFILE 40960" replace it with the 40960 UIFILE you have downloaded.Hit save in Restorator. So, i opened Explorerframe.dll / UIFILE 40960 But i don't know how to replace it. Which one is another 40960 UIFILE ? I didn't download any 40960 UIFILE.

That post is talking about a 40960 that was already edited and put in that mediafire link which is long dead. You'll have to extract the 40960 with restorator. Edit it. Then replace the old 40960 with the edited one yourself. And do yourself a favor and test your edits in Resource Spy first

Here's another way. Replace the explorerframe 40960 with the attached one. Set up your image at Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > Items View like this: And you'll get this:

I don't understand how is that possible on your software vista style builder. In your first picture, you can use the buttons edit / export /import, on the location Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > Items View And i can't acces edit / export / import How did you insert the picture in this location ?

You use the add property button 1) Click Filename under Type 2) Click Imagefile under Property 3) Select the image you want Also make sure you add the SIZINGTYPE:ENUM and BGTYPE:ENUM properties like you see in my WSB picture too

You don't replace it with an image. You replace the old explorerframe 40960 with the new one in the attachment. The image is in WSB as you can see. Here is how to replace the 40960.txt 1) Copy explorerframe to the desktop with Restorator 2) open it up and go to 40960 3) Copy and paste the new 40960 on to the old one and save 4) Rename the old explorerframe and now drag/drop the new explorerframe into system32

3am, please let me ask you something. How did you find out today, from the image, this codes you attached here for me ? ( UIFILE 40960 ) For example, i want to test another image as my explorer background. On the image is no code. How would i know when i have to replace the UIFILE 40960 ? This attached image, for example. I understood the way to work with Restorator, but how do i know the "new codes" which i have to replace for the old ones in Restorator ?

If you want to try this new image you don't have to change your new explorerframe because it is now set up to always accept an image in explorer. Do this: 1) Go to Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView 2) Click IMAGEFILE:FILENAME you have there now and remove it by using the Remove Property button 3) Add a new IMAGEFILE:FILENAME using the Add Property button 4) Select your new image You can keep repeating this to test and use any image you want now

I can't find the location for this part ( see the attached image, please ) I mean, on the very bottom, it's a tiny white line.
