Whatever I type into the search box doesn't have my font. If I select out of the drop box my font is fine.

I only have this problem in 8. I'm using the same theme in 8 that I use in 7 and don't have the problem in 7.

The font can't be Segoe because I am using a registry hack that replaces all Segoe with my font.

Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas how to fix it?

Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > Edit > SearchEdit > TextBox > Normal Text   FONT:FONT, maybe?

Just a n00b gues.

Fonts, Colors, & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics  ICONTITLEFONT:FONT works for me if Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > Edit > SearchEdit > TextBox > Normal Text doesn't have font property.

No I've tried all that. Added fonts in all Sysmetrics, Globals, Edits etc. Also using a registry hack to exclude Segoe.

It's a problem only in 8 not in 7

I tried the reg hack and it worked for me here on 64 bit Pro.
Not sure if that helps, but it might help narrow it down.
Could it be a font in your theme that didn't get ported properly

Not just in Search Box but here too ( Documents, Backup, File Name etc). Yeah I did my port by hand and checked everything. All the same:

Adding a font here works for me:
Styles > EditStyle

Note: After the first test the added font seems to stick, changing and re testing another font required my vsb to be closed an restarted.
Note 2:The Haxrcorp font is not working with this method. Sad

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but I had to go to work this morning.
Ok I see what you mean now,I had the same thing in a "save as" window
When you did the reg hack did you just do it for Segoe UI?

I seamed to have fixed it on mine by also adding
MS Shell Dlg=
 and
 MS Shell Dlg2=
to it

Yeah I tried that and it worked in the Save dialog ( not Search Box though).

Unfortunately I couldn't use it because this caused the same problem I had when I tried it in 7:

So I think it's a problem with my font that I'll just have to live with on 8 Sad
