I hate asking for help, but I really am confused about what I'm doing wrong.

Basically, whatever theme I use, it sort of.. half works.

I have no idea what's going on. I'm just about ready to throw the pc out of the window.

Any help for the newbie would be appreciated.

you use vista basic and not vista aero, so the theme couldnt be displayed correctly in my opinion (saw it on the min-max-close buttons of explorer - characteristic for vista basic)

I tried using Aero and then applying the theme.

xp ported styles need the basic vista

the style from your screen at post #1 was a style from invaderjohn (when remembering right), what needs aero (think so)
