I made this application to give a preview of non image backgrounds in WSB. (Images work however).

Video 2: http://goo.gl/Ot70L

Download: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2073343/Theme%20Part%20Preview.7z (7-Zip)

Bugs:

• Typos cause the labels to be red Xs.

• Typing a non numerical character in the part and state boxes cause the program to crash.

Notes:

• Run WSB in debug mode ("...\vistastylebuilder.exe" -debug) to find the class/part/state info.

Could do with a tree list, or a list of known elements which can be previewed when out of Beta

I would hope this functionality could be brought to WSB16. Which I'm going to hope it can release in Oct of this year based purely on Win8's Beta SDK.

Any further development of this? Any plans to integrate it with WSB?

It's already built into WSB.
