newbie help- how to skin

Hi. i am absolutely new at this. 

i have no idea how to do anything.   When i first ran the app, i expected a lot if images, collected into one preview-like window, where you could edit whatever.   Unfortunately, that is now what i got.  i cannot find a single image anywhere, and i have absolutely no idea what to do.  can i have some help?  what does what?   i am trying to make a Mac-style VS. Please help me!!!!!
