I figured out what causes the dialog bug.

When you edit an image and you close your program, the "Finished editing" dialog tries to close itself. When it does dialogs stop working. If it doesn't you're safe. So don't close your editing program instead click the button in the dialog

Sometimes the "Waiting on Image Editing" dialog disappears after I click the edit, thus making it impossible to click 'Done Editing Image'.
Now that you discovered the culprit, any word on when Ave will get around to looking at the code there to fix the bug?
