Taskbar Help Needed!!!!

First let me start by explaining what I am trying to do before I post the question.
I am trying to remove the task bar image entirely. I have managed to make both aero and basic horizontal task bar images completely transparent. This does not seem to solve the problem. Windows is still showing a background image (glass). I even removed the glass png from the streaming folder in restorator 2007. Still didn't fix the problem. HELP? :x
