Ok , so I kwow lot of people don't like the new one in se7en so I decided to share this
You need to hack this file
pnidui.dll ( icon #3048 16x16 rgb )
to get rid of the grey one

It is not located in taskbarcpl.dll , it is little bit different . when you edit this file you change here :

wow thx !, do you have another list dlls for volume, battery, etc ?

windows/system32
batmeter.dll = battery; edit the bmp image
SndVolSSO.dll = speaker; replace the icons
