Make the taskbar and buttons darker

Hi back in the game after 3 years off...

i have a quick question is there anyway i can make the taskbar and taskbuttons darker without having to make the windows darker too

I've got the task bar to be the colour i want by adjusting the colourization slider but i makes the windows dark too and I'm hoping there is a way I can change them independently

is there a value somewhere in VSB that controls the colour of the task bar or how transparent you can make it

DWM's colorization doesn't work like that unfortunately. The only way would be to adjust the actual image the taskbar uses.
