A small subset of users seem to be having a problem with VSB 1.3 on Vista. This issue is being investigated, during that time you can use the following workaround:

In %AppData%/VistaStyleBuilder/Settings.ini, add the following setting:

This worked for a bunch of people: this is also the only change in 1.3 from 1.2.5, actually.

As I said, I'm investigating the issue.

The directory you gave me did not exist. I'm not sure precisely what needs to be every/any-where.

As far as I can tell, VSB hasn't created any settings.ini files. It also hasn't created any temp files whatsoever. I haven't even been able to start it once.

I think I've found the issue.

Does VSB only work with Service Pack 1?

Because I just did a fresh install of Ultimate over the weekend and SP1 isn't downloading in windows update (it shows up, but won't download)

How can i use the msstyle with Windows 7 SP 1 ?
I tried with UXTheme Multi-Patcher 7.1 but i receive a message and it says is not compatible with SP1
