customize IE8

Wondering if anybody found how to hack IE8 ? ( menu bar , toolbars , colors and fonts ) .

ATM googled everywhere without success . Seems only IE6 ? was the only to be hackable.

I saw in iedvtool.dll it is possible but how .

The images are in ieframe.dll so you can reshack them.

Yes and the colors of the Tabs are the uifile.txt in the ieframe.dll

the 7 Version doesn't matter for this topic.

in the ui.txt of ieframe.dll is an color sequence for the instances of opening tabs (Yello, Green, Purple etc.)
i didn't test it, but i'm sure they are to change, even skinable with graphics

I'm sure this doesn't work anymore for IE8

btw you can change the toolbar text color in VSB for IE8
(i guess it is the buttontext or the menutext color, because in my last VS i the text became grey with change to black when highlighted)
