In fact, it's not the theme but SAB that makes the rounded corners on these address bars and on the original theme (no link with Windows....)  Embarrassed

So next question, how to modify the image and have the corners like with SAB on the aero.msstyles?
Being very bad at image editing

Thanks

Ok Thanks anyway, I don't know why just by changing the theme under Windows (and with the default one of Windows 11, the latest) I have rounded corners

New aero :   Old aero :

I would be surprised if it was something in the theme that "activates" the rounded corners (via a WINUI/XAML design)

It has nothing to do with msstyles. They must have made a change in the WINUI/XAML design.

I don't know the location of those files.

You could always use some app like Windhawk to restore it:

https://windhawk.net/mods/explorer-frame-classic

I don't use this. I don't know how well it works. I don't know how well it works with WSB.

But why with the new aero.msstyle I have the new address bar and not with the old one then ?

Do you know where these files are ?

The Address Bar was redesigned using WINUI and XAML instead of Msstyles over a year ago.

Ok thanks, I'll check if there are any differences between the 2

You use the latest version of aero.msstyle to have the new address bar ?

EDIT : Tested this (with the 23h2)

Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Address > AddressBand > Basic > AddressBand > Background
Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > SearchBox > Basic > Normal > Active > Background (and also Inactive)

And that's not it, it's the same thing

Other idea ?

Thanks for your help

It's possible the differences text doesn't pick up image changes.

Any changes to the Address and Search box background images in the old Explorer would be at:

Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Address > AddressBand > Basic > AddressBand > Background
Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > SearchBox > Basic > Normal > Active > Background (and also Inactive)

I can't test because I am using the new Address Bar.

Thanks so much Wink

For the slightly rounded corners, I had modified them in msstyles for the "progress bar" of the disks, I thought it was also possible for that

Having just the old msstyles (xaml, etc... up to date), and not the rounded corners, it is perhaps elsewhere

EDIT : I tested and it is indeed the theme (msstyles) that modifies it

New aero :   Old aero :

In your differences file, there is just what is listed in my post above, what "entry" could it be ?
Maybe rebar ?

Code:
ItemsView.Details.Selected Property:TEXTCOLOR:COLOR
file1 : argb(0, 109, 109, 109)
file2 : argb(0, 35, 35, 35)

Media::Rebar <ITBarBase::Rebar>.Background.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS
file1 : 1, 1, 18, 17
file2 : 1, 1, 1, 1

DWMTouch.<4>.<default>:ATLASRECT:RECT
file1 : 117, 60, 177, 120
file2 : 11, 46, 57, 92

DWMTouch.<4>.<default>:ATLASRECT:RECT
file1 : 117, 120, 197, 200
file2 : 11, 46, 57, 92

DWMTouch.<5>.<default>:ATLASRECT:RECT
file1 : 117, 200, 197, 280
file2 : 117, 0, 177, 60

DWMTouch.<5>.<default>:ATLASRECT:RECT
file1 : 11, 0, 57, 46
file2 : 117, 0, 177, 60

When the text is hot (hover and selected)
Red is Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView > Details > Selected > TEXTCOLOR
Green is Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView > Details > Selected Property > TEXTCOLOR

I don't remember ever seeing that particular ReBar anywhere. A ReBar is usually part of a background structure .

I think DMTouch had something to do with touchscreen graphics. ATLASRECT has to do with screen position.

Those rounded corners likely have nothing to do with the msstyles but are part of the system WINUI and XAML Island design languages.

3am, could you tell me what these values correspond to (what it changes)
I saw that with the latest version, the corners are more rounded for the address bar and the search (explorer) for example

Code:
ItemsView.Details.Selected Property:TEXTCOLOR:COLOR

Media::Rebar <ITBarBase::Rebar>.Background.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS

DWMTouch.<4>.<default>:ATLASRECT:RECT

DWMTouch.<4>.<default>:ATLASRECT:RECT

DWMTouch.<5>.<default>:ATLASRECT:RECT

DWMTouch.<5>.<default>:ATLASRECT:RECT
