but is there a possible way that u can implant something for the shellstyle? to edit it in a esier way than trough resource hacking? like explorer background color and texst colors and such wich involves in the shellstyle?
cuz that takes alot of time changing al that when u resource hack!

Heh, just a tinkerer ever since VSB came out.  I admire people who skinned Vista prior to VSB.  That must've taken forever  

and btw.. is there a way to change the horisontal size aswell?

the gradient stylehack gives me a black border through the BGTYPE:ENUM BORDERFILL on the new version

and if i choose IMAGEFILE it doesnt show the gradient :/

so its not a big deal. still kinda annoying.

hey guys, I'm having some problems with the start menu. I have 3 questions.

1. Why I get that white background in the All Program image? The image doesn't have white.
2. Can we change the logoff buttons?
3. It is possible to change the text color of search bar? If I want to do the search bar black can I change the text color to white?

1. The all program image u find in the basic section "moreprogramstab"
2. yes, u find those in explorer.exe, need resourcehacking
3. yes its is.. but i dont know where in VSB make a search for "searchbox" and il bet u find it!

im starting to learn VSB realy well now but in the beginning it was a pain in the ass (im starting to learn alot though, but still find new things everyday), shen ur used to resourcehack/hec edit ur visualstyles.
so i think that would be the best thing.

and exacly what everything is and where u can use it.. like add stringss and such,.

the hex address used by PsycoB to center the tray icons corresponds to Taskbar & Tray Notify > Taskbar > Basic > TaskBar in VSB. Reduce the value of the HEIGHT property to move the tray icons up

Couldn't find it. I tried tracing it with his style and so much was different, I didn't know what was going on. I tried to do it manually but each time I did it the theme became corrupt

ive heard someone told me u could do it trhough the shellstyle and in VSB i found a backrgound option in expolrer & shell>shell>previewpanecontrol and there is background options in the sub cats, but dunno if that has to do with the backrgounds in explorer? i know ave has an application to add backrgound images, but i dont think u can add on that follows the explorer window

On PsycoB's latest style he noted in the description how to center the icons on a 22px taskbar through hex. Luckily.....

cuz i use a rly small taskbar and the tray icons is a lil to much far down.

no it doesn't work.. ive already tried it since vista uses blur on all aero transparent parts (which i also don't want ><)
so if i make that bars transparent they just become blurry. ive seen a cupple of themes where ppl do that but it doesn't look that good.

also.. is there any way to make the close button to use a smaller caption size? so that u can make the minimize and maximize buttons closer to the right?

is there anyway to remove the right and left border completley in a vs?
ive seen that alot in windowblinds but never in a vs.
i can only like make the padding border to 0 but it is still a small border.

and in some skins it would look so much better just to remove them.

and can u make the bottom border bigger even though the leaft and right border is that thin?

becuz aero uses blur and colors for it.. u can go into the color appearance and change color to frost and no color intensity

but i dont think u can make it fully transparent, since it uses blur.

myself i would like to know if u can get rid of the DWM aero blur.
