Help / Windows 10 / Re: WSB and W11 24h2

It's possible the differences text doesn't pick up image changes.
Any changes to the Address and Search box background images in the old Explorer would be at:
Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Address > AddressBand > Basic > AddressBand > Background Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > SearchBox > Basic > Normal > Active > Background (and also Inactive)
I can't test because I am using the new Address Bar.

When the text is hot (hover and selected) Red is Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView > Details > Selected > TEXTCOLOR Green is Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView > Details > Selected Property > TEXTCOLOR I don't remember ever seeing that particular ReBar anywhere. A ReBar is usually part of a background structure . I think DMTouch had something to do with touchscreen graphics. ATLASRECT has to do with screen position. Those rounded corners likely have nothing to do with the msstyles but are part of the system WINUI and XAML Island design languages.

Patchers are always being updated.
Attached is the differences text file. There were only a few changes.
I get the differences text using DiffTool.exe that comes with WSB. Click the first msstyle you want checked and then the second and you get the resulting text file.

The new msstyles won't test with WSB in 23H2 either.
Attached is a text file with the differences between the new msstyles and the one in 23H2. There's a lot of changes.
I still think it has something to do with theme file patches not updated to include this new build.
But I don't know for sure. Sorry.

Put the 26100.1301 Aero folder in a zip file and attach it here.
I'll try to test it in 23H2.

It's also possible your theme files patcher hasn't been updated to include your new build yet.

I'm not running 24H2 so I can't help you.
Even if I were I wouldn't know what to say.
Try contacting Ave. Maybe he can help.

Sometimes it's necessary to repatch your theme files
If that also doesn't work then I don't know what is wrong.

I open and close the Show Controls window before testing. You only have to do this once per session.

I don't use SIB or SAB but I see 2 border entries. This: and Outer Border. You can manipulate the CONTENTMARGINS, add fillcolors and images etc.

That used to be
Taskbar & System Tray > Taskband > Aero > Taskband Extended UI > Horizontal > Thumbnails & Controls > Close Caption
in 7 & 8 days. No idea where it is in SAB. I can't remember if it ever had a glyph image property.

Tips and Visual Styles / StyleHacks / Re: Import Stylehack
|
on: June 17, 2024, 12:59:18 am
|
1) Put the file in the StyleHacks folder in AveApps > Windows Style Builder
2) Click Import Stylehack and apply the file from the dropdown menu
3) If nothing or something bad happens then the file was made incorrectly

Help / Windows 10 / Re: WSB Save Window Background Color

You don't need to change the Class Maps:
In Search EditText has just a font property and value and the FilterText has just a textcolor property and value.
BackgroundWithBorder is already there like Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > Edit > Basic > Normal > Active > BackgroundWithBorder for instance.
Just add and delete the properties and change the values.

I just replaced the image at
Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > SearchBox > Basic > Normal > Active > Background > Focused
with a transparent image.
Maybe you have some added complications going on or something. But that is all that I did.

Are you saying you want the search box to have a focused border when clicked like the address bar does?
Then just change the border color on the images at
Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > SearchBox > Basic > Normal > Active > Background > Focused Windows 10 Dark Mode > Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > SearchBox > Basic > Normal > Active > Background > Focused

The menu hover color and textcolor are at
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ListView > ListItem > Selected Windows 10 Dark Mode > Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ListView > ListItem > Selected
I don't use SAB. I don't know anything about customizing the new command bar.

This? For me it's Windows 10 Dark Mode > Explorer & Shell > Shell > PreviewPaneControl > CommonItemsDialog:Edit > Background Windows 10 Dark Mode > Explorer & Shell > Shell > PreviewPaneControl > DarkMode CommonItemsDialog:Edit > Background

All of that is in your .theme file which you can open with notepad or whatever. If you have custom stuff then you have to include them in your theme folder and change the pathways in your theme file to go to them instead. Like here's part of the default theme file for cursors, wallpaper etc. You want to change those pathways to go to your custom stuff:

Help / Windows 10 / Re: clock
|
on: October 28, 2023, 10:46:42 pm

1) Use a smaller font at Taskbar & System Tray > System Tray > Basic > Clock > Time 2) Could be a browser thing or a light mode/dark mode conflict. I can't tell for sure. I'd start using the color replacer and do individual color changes until I found out what colors were being used and work from there

New Search can't be changed with WSB because it's no longer in the msstyle file
