Help / Windows 7 / Re: Where this transparency?

that's the blur. i think. is that basic? the blur is shaped to match windows default so it is rounded. if you use a sharp corner the only thing you can do is try to blend your colors to make it less noticeable. you can play around with shadows to blend it in as well..

probably has something to do with your sizing margins, and the actual size of the image. i'd have to be looking at your theme to figure it out

you can change the background of the details pane using wsb
i've done it plenty of times, unfortunately i cannot tell you where the option is cause i cannot remember. but, logically it must be in Explorer. or i may have changed it via the Styles options.

Help / Windows 7 / Re: Navigation Pane Content Margins?

in vista you can use content margins to move the contents of the navigation pane like this to hide the icons. i cannot find the content margins that would do the same for win 7, if they even exist

Help / Windows 7 / Re: Right clik menu border

hey, quick fix for ya, open up default aero in wsb and extract the original popup border image. modify that image so that the edge is one pixel white and the inside is your menu color. do not alter the size of the image just the colors. use margins 1, 1, 1, 1 and you should be good to go

Help / Windows 7 / Navigation Pane Content Margins?

i've hacked up my nav pane to include only favorites, so now i'd like to move the contents around so that the icons are hidden and the tree parent 'favorites' is also hidden. in vista this is possible at Shell>Common Places>Toolbar>Button in seven things are different. Anyone know?

Help / Windows Vista / caption bar sizing. tile work around?
|
on: November 07, 2009, 02:59:46 am
|
i found this thread http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=331.0tried the one logical suggestion and its not working properly. is there any way to get a tile effect? i'm using a 2000px width image with with regular margins. i tried using left margin 1995, and right 1995 nothing.. which doesn't make sense at all because that should work in theory. any help? edit: i noticed using different margins like 500 works, sure but if the window is less than 500 it begins to stretch, if its greater than 500 it begins to stretch. so this is not a plausible work around

Help / Windows Vista / Frame corners all ways rounded?
|
on: October 23, 2009, 01:04:51 am
|
i've noticed working in vista and 7 that the corners always have that rounded look. the image i set lays over what looks like another round image underneath... can anyone tell me why this is?
