Yes. Text Glow requires composition.

This is what I have and it don't work...

Make sure you have to COMPOSITED:BOOL 1.

Do I do pair that with TEXTGLOW:BOOL 1 or GLOWINTENSITY:INT x

on the left Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Address > AddressBand > Basic > AddressBand > <1>
on the right Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Search > SearchBox > Basic > Normal > Active > <1>

I'm sorry I did not say in windows explorer. Are they in the same dlls?

I want to know:
1) How to add text glow to the address bar as well as the search box
2) Where the magnifying glass image is located (At the end of the search box)
3) Where refresh button image is located (Between the adress bar and the search box)

Both of those resources are found in the shellstyle.dll file, use a resource editor like resource tuner...
