There is another way to use as many styles as you like with Uxstyle.
1. Rename the default C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero\aerolite.msstyles to aerolite.msstyles.bak 2. Make a new folder in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero\ called aerolite.msstyles 3. Put your theme in the aerolite.msstyles folder C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero\aerolite.msstyles\My Theme\My Theme.msstyles 4. Make sure your .theme file uses the new directory. 5. Select your theme from the personalization menu.
So now you just use the aerolite.msstyles folder as the normal theme folder and you can have as many themes as you like.
Note that if you do sfc/scannow or if you do a large Windows update to say Rs1 the themes will most likely be lost, so keep a backup of your themes.
Not sure what that would result in, I guess it would just fall back to using the aerolite theme which could be a good thing as these large updates seem to break any older themes anyway.
Thanks for this God , works great ! ps:Hope all is well down there.

Try taking the AMap from the latest Win 10 Aero msstyles and adding it to your own msstyles using Restorator or Reshacker etc,this worked for me,my theme is a win 8 theme,you may get mixed results using an 8.1 theme.

Cool,I will try that,was just missing the pin icon and the split hover image ( l + r ), Thanks !
I did try adding it in vsb but had no luck with those left and right images,it was late,will try again.
The tool tips are like that for me too.
I tried and I can't get the split left and right hover image to show. Do your images and the pin icon in them show if you're not using Start is Back

In my theme the textcolor was sysmetrics > menutext
I'm using an 8 theme with the startmenu still in the win 7 location if you get me . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A bit more info for anyone who's interested I've hexed the cmap and added the new jumplist class that is in win 8 testing purposes only but i can't get it to work,( the hover images that are used in the 10 msstyles that is ),so for some reason the pin icons are not visible.Mine is using an image from here as the hot image > Lists, Menus, & Tabs > ListView > ListItem > HotSelected But I think without that image it uses the fillcolor at listview,I can't check at the moment I'm in 7 as Restorator is refusing to open in 10 for some reason( it works fine for 3am ) I also ported a 7 theme over to see what happened , the list icons, hover images and pin icon are ok but the BG is broke,probably as a result of all the bool properties that get brought over. If I end up keeping this OS I'll build from scratch at a later date if a proper porting method or fix isn't figured out by anyone.

Not sure why but my Start Menu no longer opens or works in anyway,also restorator which worked earlier is no longer working.
Edit- Changing the theme back to Aero then re-applying my theme fixed the menu,

ONE seems to be working,. Not looked yet but I'm guessing the UIFILES that control the 2 control panel images have changed,those are the only changes that aren't showing that I can see so far.Maybe I need a reboot. The startmenu seems to be changing color depending on the theme. Just noticed the status bar mod in my uifile is not showing either.

Didn't have anything to un-rar ONE, lol, unprepared. Not tried Start is Back or aero glass yet,will have to make an image before I do that,not using VM. I wouldn't be surprised if they still work on the early builds though.

Just installed Uxstyle and VSB , tried a theme and this is the result ---->> Most of the start menu is not themed,just a few hovers in the NSChost , search In windowed modern apps the frames are themed but not the caption buttons This is using a theme from 8.1.1 that has a Start Menu. Looking at the default ten msstyle in Restorator now,see what the cmap is like.

Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Animating Window >left,right,top,bottom. think it uses the Minimize part of the image for "peeking" at minimized windows though I'm not able to test in 7 right now.

Help / Windows 7 / Re: Uneven PopUpGutter and PopUPSeperator
|
on: May 10, 2013, 02:45:52 pm

Also,have you made > Lists, Menus, & Tabs > Menu > PopUpItem > Normal and disabled images with color ? if so,the color will color the popupgutter leaving a white block where your white popupgutter image shows through,that is not a part of the separator.These images should be left transparent unless your popupgutter is going to be the same color as them. The popup gutter can only have a vertical separator due to the way windows renders the image. This picture is the result of red images at > Lists, Menus, & Tabs > Menu > PopUpBackground Lists, Menus, & Tabs > Menu > PopUpItem > Normal and disabled

Is it possible to move addressbar progressbar 2 pixels to the left ? Now it's 2 pixels shorter from the left.
All controlled by the contentmargins here > Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Address > AddressBand > Basic > AddressBand > Background

Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Aero > TaskBandExtendedUI > Horizontal > Thumbnails & Controls > Title > Textcolor
In my ported theme the textcolor had been added here > Windows 8 (For Testing Purposes Only) > Taskband Extended UI > Title- so if the first location doesn't work ,take a look at the second.

Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: rounded edge
|
on: February 27, 2013, 01:38:38 pm

That is why you need the window shadow,to blend those corners in,make them stand out less. If you don't want a window shadow,you'll have to use the actual shadow resources to make the curved corners/outer borders of the window frame ,this will require a little more work with an image editor,and some trial and error with WSB till you get it right.

Try using the window frames and shadows from the windows 7 theme,see what happens,might have to edit the corners of the window frames with an image editor to make them blend into the shadows better.As the frames are designed to be square in windows 8 you might not get this to look perfect. Locations Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Window -top,bottom,left,right Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Details > Shadows - top,bottom,left ,right Find more detailed locations here > http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=1536.0

Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: How to change treelist font colors in explorer?
|
on: February 24, 2013, 01:07:51 am
|
Another option: To make propertree normal textcolor be editable at - Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > TreeItem > Normal open your theme's shellstyle in a resouce editor and locate this block of text in the UIFILE: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ProperTreeHost
font="IconFont"
background="themeable(gtc(PROPERTREE, 2, 0, 3802), window)"
foreground="windowtext" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit foreground="windowtext" to read like this :> foreground="themeable(gtc(Explorer::Treeview, 1, 1, 3803), windowtext)" Save the file. Now in WSB add a textcolor to > Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > TreeItem > Normal
