Title: Taskband - Shine / Reflection
Post by: StefanR on January 02, 2010, 10:23:01 am
Hi,

I've just started using VSB and wondered what element controls the shine on the taskband? I can find the one for windows (Windows and Caption Buttons -> Aero -> Dwm Window -> Reflections) and the one for Explorer (Explorer & Shell -> Explorer -> Command Module -> <12>) but I can't see how to change or remove the subtle shading on the taskband.

Any ideas?

Is there any way this be changed if I don't use VSB?

oh wait, my bad... do you mean glow of taskbar buttons or reflection back to taskbar?

EDIT: if you mean taskbar background or aero snap reflection, and you deleted one from down-window->reflection, then start command prompt with administrator rights and type in:;

net stop uxsms
net start uxsms

and you´ll see the diffrence :D

Its because it doesnt apply to all places right away. you like, disable DWM and enable DWM. Restart would work out too.
