Title: [Start Panel] Getting rid of UserPicture for good?!
Post by: K-Johnson on December 02, 2008, 01:46:54 pm
Hi,

I have noticed that the UserPicture in the Start Panel can be disabled, yet that area, although nothing is displayed, still hides whatever is within the UserPicture's bounds.

Here is a picture with the UserPicture disabled, with PLACELIST's contentmargins top value at -15 to bring the right hand side menu's up to fill the gap.

Notice how part of it disappears?  It's being clipped by the removed/disabled UserPicture (AFAIK).

Is there a way to fill that gap w/o enabling the UserPicture?  It looks like crap when it's disabled, and shortening the image myself brings an ugly gap between the taskbar and start menu panel.

Thanks for reading!  :D

Change the DEFAULTPANESIZE:RECT  to '0, 0, 0, 0' of either:
Start > StartMenu > Panels > Aero > Bottom > UserPane
Start > StartMenu > Panels > Basic > UserPane

Nevermind, I got it working.  Just apply the 34px Userpane stylehack and work from there.  Thanks again, satukoro!
