Title: Black text on Shellstyle (save dialog)
Post by: sweatyfish on November 11, 2008, 05:13:51 am
One of the most annoying problems, I'm sure most will agree.

I'm sure that this txt color isn't in the shellstyle. Any ideas where it is? And will the text color change affect any other areas of Vista?

Fonts, Colors & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics (WINDOWTEXT:COLOR)

But this changes also other colors of the window, you'll recognize them.

Thanks. Guess I'll have to ignore it or change the shell.

It might be possible to link it to something else in the shell32.dll's UIFILEs.

That would be great. But, my knowledge of something like that is very limited.

You should edit shellsstyle. I don't remember exactly what style definition is for comman save dialog, but there you should edit <MetadataLabel> section. I added the following properties to it:

font="iconfont" - relinked to ICONFONT:FONT prop in Fonts... in VSB.

foreground="themeable(argb(255, 255, 255, 255), windoww)" - for white text
