Title: Windows 8 theme broken after WSB crashed Post by: link6155 on March 03, 2013, 03:05:32 am I was testing my theme when I decided to save it. After saving it I wanted to test it out. This crashed my computer. When I log back on, my theme was applied, however the original theme file seems corrupt now.
I was wondering how does WSB apply the theme and is there any ways to recover my theme since it's currently applied on my computer? Title: Re: Windows 8 theme broken after WSB crashed Post by: Panda X on March 03, 2013, 03:16:27 pm Can you upload your broken theme so we can take a look at it?

I've found a solution to my problem. I found my theme in the "testing" folder inside my programdata folder. When you rebooted Windows applied the last known working theme since the one before is corrupted. Since it was a test theme do you not have an original before you tested?
Or which one is corrupted, the one in testing or the original? Luckily, I had tested it before applying, so my theme was saved in the "testing" folder.
To answer your question, the original theme file was the one that went bad. Title: Re: Windows 8 theme broken after WSB crashed Post by: Panda X on March 04, 2013, 11:56:04 pm To restore I suggest just renaming the test theme if it's still there. It should still be there since it applied on boot.
