Title: Windows and Caption Buttons > Aero > Dwm Window > Frames > Normal Post by: Felix Neuscheler on February 08, 2013, 09:55:37 pm Dear Users&Writers this is my first Post,
I've read a lot about the window frame corners. So i know that this is not the first time that someone asked this. This was very interesting, but didn't help at all Corners in window frame... I've have those two png files... Windows and Caption Buttons > Aero > Dwm Window > Frames > Normal > Bottom Windows and Caption Buttons > Aero > Dwm Window > Frames > Normal > Top and I'm not able to get nearly 100% transparent, "squared" Frameborders without having those tiny, little round corners, were there seems to not 1Pixel. There must be a way to solve this problem, with the twelve missing Pixels, in each corner. Attached, the pictures. Title: Re: Windows and Caption Buttons > Aero > Dwm Window > Frames > Normal Post by: Panda X on February 08, 2013, 10:21:03 pm That corner is caused by DWM's blur shader. It's rounded like the default frames. There's nothing that can be done about that unfortunately. However if you change the border padding (PADDEDBORDERWIDTH:INT in Sys Metrics) to a lower value it becomes less apparent, though your borders on the side and bottom will be smaller.

But look into the graphics for the reflections/glows on the top frame. If I remember correctly the corners of the reflections/glows are rounded off. If you make them pointy then the problem your having becomes much less apparent.

I've read about the DWM's blur shader. It's sad. I tried to get some info about 7 DMW. Do have an idea, a link that could help? Thanks at all |
