Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: 3am on March 28, 2010, 02:31:11 pm You have to color the Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand > GroupImage and GroupImageHot images
You have to do the same for all states of Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand >TaskItemButton Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: RoBy46 on March 28, 2010, 03:40:09 pm You have to color the Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand > GroupImage and GroupImageHot images Uhmmm don't workYou have to do the same for all states of Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand >TaskItemButton See this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLWdUZs6D8g Wait for HD Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: 3am on March 28, 2010, 04:31:08 pm You have to color the images of the 10 states of TaskItemButton not just highlight and hottrackingcolor
Edit: If you have transparency in any of these states you will still get a flashing color animation as it cycles through the stages. The only way to prevent this is to have solid colors for all of the states. Even then you still get some animation! The only way to stop it entirely is to have solid colors and then go into your computer to System > Advanced System Settings > Performance and unclick "Start Menu and Taskbar Animations" :P Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: RoBy46 on March 28, 2010, 04:51:26 pm How???
Don't Understande :( Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: 3am on March 28, 2010, 05:04:32 pm The TaskItemButton has 10 states or images (Hover, Normal etc).
To have no color animation the images must all be solid colors only. To get rid of residual animation you have to go into your computer to Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Performance and uncheck the "Start Menu and Taskbar Animations" box. That is the only way to get rid of the color animation. Try it. You'll see. :) Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: RoBy46 on March 28, 2010, 09:25:35 pm To get rid of residual animation you have to go into your computer to Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Performance and uncheck the "Start Menu and Taskbar Animations" box. Nothing changes :( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9Pn7fz6rJg Why?? Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: Panda X on March 28, 2010, 10:18:35 pm You can't get rid of the red, blue, etc because Windows takes the dominate color of the icon and creates that effect.
Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: RoBy46 on March 28, 2010, 10:59:10 pm All 10 states of your TaskItemButton must be solid colors. NO TRANSPARENCY. Solid images or static? So for example?? OKOK use original effect... Thank You. Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: 3am on March 28, 2010, 11:07:11 pm One last time.
I have absolutely NO ANIMATION in my TaskItem Button so it is NOT impossible. SOLID colors for ALL 10 states. No transparency, no gradients, no anything. Then go into your computer and uncheck the taskbar & startmenu animations. You will have perfect flat, dull, Vista-Like taskbar buttons. Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: Panda X on March 28, 2010, 11:12:31 pm One last time. I have absolutely NO ANIMATION in my TaskItem Button so it is NOT impossible. Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: 3am on March 28, 2010, 11:23:47 pm Yep. No flash button either
Dead as dead can be...no chance of animation ever again! The highlight and hottracking was a joke anyway. Never made amy difference I could ever see. Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: 3am on March 28, 2010, 11:39:46 pm I remember doing every combination of colors I could imagine with the highlight and hottracking and the animations would always come up the same damned colors. it was just a sad illusion of control :S
So I turned my back and never looked back Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: Panda X on March 28, 2010, 11:41:58 pm I remember doing every combination of colors I could imagine with the highlight and hottracking and the animations would always come up the same damned colors. it was just a sad illusion of control :S So I turned my back and never looked back You mean the properties? Highlight isn't used (I assume anymore) and HotTracking is for greyscale or B/W icons. Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: 3am on March 28, 2010, 11:53:14 pm Anyway...any hint of transparency in the TaskItemButton images and you have Microsoft's animation whether you like it or not.
That's what I meant by an illusion of control. I wonder why the highlight and hottracking color properties are even there if they have no effect? Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: Panda X on March 28, 2010, 11:57:03 pm Anyway...any hint of transparency in the TaskItemButton images and you have Microsoft's animation whether you like it or not. HotTracking does. Highlight did. I just posted it above you. That's what I meant by an illusion of control. I wonder why the highlight and hottracking color properties are even there if they have no effect? Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: RoBy46 on March 29, 2010, 12:00:39 am I just wanted to change the colors flash windows, not make them transparent.
Understande is impossible. Is possible only make image not trasparent end disable "Start Menu and Taskbar Animations", But I want the effects, only with my colors. Use google traslator :-[ I hope you understand In this video I put color effects without flash: http://vimeo.com/10509523 between 29 minutes Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: NewYears1978 on April 15, 2010, 06:27:32 am Right, you can't use your own colors...only disable them..sucks.
I've disabled mine as well due to the lack of control..I liked the effects..but not the colors with my black theme. Shame because it was a nice feature in Windows7. 3am thanks for the tip, too bad I had to disable all animations though, but its better than the ugly flashes. Title: Re: Help for png taskbar Post by: 3am on April 20, 2010, 04:07:02 am The Taskbar buttons take their animation color from the color of the icons. Microsoft says "This approach is visually attractive, yet subtle, conveying a humble personality" lol.
An interesting article on all of this is here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa511285%28v=MSDN.10%29.aspx |
