Title: Bmp file in exlorerframe...
Post by: Vzdorjii on March 18, 2010, 09:03:24 am
Hey guys, i need your help one more time...

I'm trying for days to make my magnifying glass icon in exploreframe.dll.

Here is my image : (http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/6359/sanstitre3.jpg)
It contains some half transparent pixels.

I use photoshop, and when i create my alpha channel, i select only the solid parts of my image then i delete this part in the channel.
Here is what i get : (http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/9249/sanstitre1copieu.jpg)
The half transparent pixels are hidden.

So, i did it another way, with the difference tool in Photoshop to set a special grey color for each half transparent pixel, like an opacity value.
Here is what i get : (http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/4956/sanstitre2copiex.jpg)
Half opacity is broken...

I tried so many way to make it, dunno what i did wrong.
Plz don't tell me about using gimp, i simply hate to use it, as i use photoshop for years.

Thank yall !

Have you tried selecting your image, then create your alpha channel, in the alpha channel fill your selection with white, then go back to your layers and create a new layer and put below your image and fill with black and merge them together?

Just upload a png of it here and I will see if I can get it to work.

I don't see why you can't just hit Control + S like you can in other programs.
