Title: Help with smaller Header.item Post by: mik2b on December 10, 2008, 12:07:19 pm Hi,
I know that there's a stylehack that do this, but I want to know HOW do this. I used de difference tool, but it didn't help me. I want to do a header.item with height about 15px (not 19px with StyleHack). How can I do? I changed margins and all images from "Header", but it still being 19px. Any help? Thank you. The concerning image and settings are in Toolbar, Headers and Rebar / Toolbar & Headers / Header / Headeritem Title: Re: Help with smaller Header.item Post by: mik2b on December 11, 2008, 08:40:47 pm Yep, but even changing this image, Header.item's height is always 19px.
I've changed all header.item images, and no luck. And no luck for color changing too... How this stylehack works? Anyone knows? Title: Re: Help with smaller Header.item Post by: K-Johnson on December 11, 2008, 09:26:02 pm Hi mik2b,
To find out where VSB applies the Stylehack to, get yourself two copies of the default theme. Apply the "Header Height - 19px" Stylehack to one default theme, leave the other one untouched. Now since you only changed one area of the touched theme, the Difference Tool will be very direct. Have you tried to use the Difference Tool yet? You can find it in the Vista Style Builder. When you launch the Difference Tool, it'll prompt you with an Open window. Select the default untouched theme. It'll prompt you with the same Open window again. This time, select the modified theme. This program will spit out a differences.txt file. Save it and view it. I think the text file is pretty simple to understand. Just see all the property/value differences, use a little logic, apply it to your theme and test! Good luck! But yes, I already used it. Difference tool said me: Quote FILE 1: WITHOUT STYLEHACK FILE 2: WITH STYLEHACK PROPERTIES FOUND IN FILE 1, BUT NOT IN FILE 2 ============================================= PROPERTIES FOUND IN FILE 2, BUT NOT IN FILE 1 ============================================= PROPERTIES WITH DIFFERENT VALUES BETWEEN FILE 1 AND FILE 2 ========================================================== Header <HeaderStyle>.<default>.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS file1 : 2, 0, 9, 14 file2 : 1, 1, 1, 2 Header <HeaderStyle>.HeaderItem.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS file1 : 2, 3, 9, 14 file2 : 8, 8, 1, 17 Header <HeaderStyle>.HeaderItem.<default>:CONTENTMARGINS:MARGINS file1 : 0, 0, 0, 0 file2 : 3, 0, 0, 0 Header <HeaderStyle>.HeaderItem.<default>:SIZINGTYPE:ENUM file1 : STRETCH (1) file2 : TILE (2) Header <HeaderStyle>.HeaderDropDown.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS file1 : 2, 0, 9, 14 file2 : 8, 8, 3, 4 Header <HeaderStyle>.HeaderDropDownFilter.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS file1 : 2, 0, 9, 14 file2 : 8, 8, 3, 4 MaxNavbar::Rebar <Navbar::Rebar>.Background.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS file1 : 15, 15, 1, 3 file2 : 0, 0, 0, 1 So the only changes are some margins, and Header.item images. I already change it (to 15px height), and I adjusted margins. But, I don't know why, Header.item still measuring 19px. P.D.: Appears one change in Rebar, I don't know what it is. I guess it would be a mistake, 'cause there are 2 "sizingmargins" in here; and I think that there's no connection with header.item. Thanks for your time. |
